This weekend, one of my best friends Kerry got married in Amsterdam—to the love of her life.
It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever witnessed. Not just because of the setting or the flowers (though, yes), but because it felt so deeply her. Every detail radiated the life she’s spent years envisioning. Kerry has always been unwavering in her clarity—about love, about space, about what she wants. She’s one of those rare people who makes magic look effortless.
In Human Design, Kerry is what’s called a Manifestor—a type known for initiating, for creating new realities, for moving with certainty and spark. But you don’t need to know anything about Human Design to know someone like this. Maybe you are someone like this.
And that word—manifesting—it gets tossed around a lot. Sometimes it sounds like wishful thinking. Sometimes it sounds like hustle. But in its truest form, it’s neither.
It’s about alignment.
It’s about knowing who you are, honoring how you move through the world, and creating spaces that support that version of you—not just the “productive” you, but the whole you.
Because when your environment is aligned with your energy, you don’t have to force or push so much. You rest easier. Think clearer. Create more effortlessly. You become… magnetic.
So what if we designed our spaces—not just for looks, but for how we’re wired?
It’s a system that blends ancient and modern sciences—astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and quantum mechanics—to give us a personalized map of how we’re meant to operate in the world.
Think of it as a blueprint for your energy. A lens that helps you understand how you process, relate, rest, initiate, and interact—with others and with your space.
As Human Design expert Jenna Zoe puts it:
“When you align with your Human Design, you stop trying to be everything you're not—and start being more of who you really are.”
And that might feel radical in our productivity-obsessed world. But it’s also a relief.
You’re not meant to live like everyone else.
Your space shouldn’t be designed like everyone else’s, either.
Here’s a gentle, design-forward guide to creating environments that align with the five Human Design types:
The initiators. The spark starters.
You thrive when you have autonomy. You’re not meant to be micromanaged—or over-scheduled. Your space should give you room to breathe and begin.
The builders. The energizers.
You find satisfaction through response and rhythm. You're designed to do what lights you up—and that means your environment should feel energizing, not draining.
The multi-hyphenates. The alchemists.
You’re meant to pivot, evolve, and skip steps when needed. Don’t box yourself in.
The guides. The seers.
You’re sensitive to your surroundings—and you need rest. Not laziness. Real restoration.
The mirrors. The moon people.
You’re tuned into the energy of your environment like no one else. Your space needs to be a sacred filter.
When we understand our energy, we can start designing for it—not against it.
Whether you’re a Manifestor who needs space to spark ideas, a Generator like me who thrives through rhythm, or something entirely your own… your environment should support the way you naturally move through the world.

Once you do, tell me in the comments—I’m a Generator. Let’s design with our energy in mind, together.
